Crytek's Crysis 4 talks, has not decided whether it will be a FPS
"You know , at this point I'm not going to rule out any possibility. However I think the Crysis franchise is still in its full splendor. It's hard to say if the next title will belong to a different kind or expand what has been done so far , "says Elliot. " This should decide the designer. Though the series Crysis has always been conceived as a trilogy, and I believe that over time we have built a really fantastic universe. We have done an exemplary job to maintain intact the principles of the series, so in terms of the universe we still have much to say and so much more to experience. I haven't the slightest idea whether the next Crysis will still be a FPS or will belong to another genus, but certainly the franchise has a future ahead of them ".
We could reconnect at this point to some statements made last June by the CEO Cevat Yerli Crytek regarding their future and any new projects after Crysis 3, Homefront and Ryse 2. Namely that after these titles currently under development, all subsequent games from their products will be F2P, Free to Play. According to Yeldi the online marketplace and will be the only F2P which will have a future. It seems then that the Crysis series won't die so easily, but will remain as we know it or change to embrace new genres and business models? We have to wait to find out.
