D3 Publisher has confirmed the development of Earth Defense Force 4, new installment in the series that arrives during 2013. 8 years have passed since the events of Earth Defense Force 2017 , and humanity is rebuilding the destroyed city during the last devestante war against aliens nicknamed "foreigners", ironically, helping with technology left by the invaders. Everything seems to be going for the better thanks to the sweaty peace, until at least June 28, 2025, when he discovers that not all aliens have withdrawn after human suicide attack which destroyed the mothership of aliens, but they were holed up in the basement, playing and repeated learning, prepared for a new invasion. To face this nightmare again, the Earth Defense Force is the only hope for mankind. This is the basic plot of the game, and here we provide you with an overview of the classes and enemies that we will face.

Humans

• Ranger : are the assault unit par excellence, specializing in all types of weapon and capable of adapting to any situation.
• Wing Diver : this class is formed solely by women, weaker and less resistant of Ranger but equipped with wings that can fly and a weapon made with alien technology.

Aliens

• Carapace Creatures : have the shape of giant ants, and attack both physically and by spraying corrosive acid.
• Spider Creatures : have the shape of giant spiders and their webs tend traps that can immobilize opponents.
• Hector : a Biped robot with a great offensive potential, which can equip different weapons on each arm.
• Transport Ship Carrier : do not have any offensive weapon, however carry the enemy troops, so if you see one get ready to fight.
• Retarius : this huge creature is a cross between a spider and a WaSP, builds its nests in town and waiting for prey.

It was also confirmed that the game will have an online multiplayer, although details on the modalities have not yet been revealed.
