Undead Labs: Class 3 is a single-player only game

It's been almost half a year since it was announced Class 3, ambitious Live Arcade in which we will have to survive a zombie outbreak in a city open wolrd, but the news has been virtually nil. The new Community Manager of Undead Labs, Sanya Weathers, has released new information on this title, but not all of them are good: it seems that to speed up development time multiplayer mode will not be present at launch, but probably will be released later. Find excerpts of the interview and the new info below.

" We have decided to defer the inclusion of co-op multiplayer. Our hope is to develop it during the production of Class 4, then you should know that by the time Class 3 is a single-player only game. "

"We are still very satisfied with how the project is progressing, and we are achieving all its goals-construction of strategic bases, an open-world sandbox, survival simulation-but we're also disappointed that they could not enter the multiplayer, as it would require development time too high".

" Class 3 will be the bridge to Class 4, an MMO where the co-op is already covered, then our logic (at that time) required that Class 3 had a cooperative mode. Today we know that is not possible, but we hope to be able to add. However as already stated this is a hope, I don't make promises to imbalance. We have a lot to learn, and for now it's best if we work without the complication of co-op ".

However, not all the news is negative, the Weathers said that Class 3 is now in Alpha stage, with a fully playable version but that needs re-working for bugs. After completing the main story players will however continue exploring the game world sandbox-style.

There will be approximately 50 characters, each with their own background, typical traits and desires, also nearly all the buildings will be browsable, except those destroyed or ruined too. After conquering a building this will become an outpost and you will be able to block and defend against enemy attacks. All the buildings in your possession will then create a defensive perimeter around areas of interest.

The game will require a fair amount of strategy, and we have to be careful with our resources and fuel. There has been talk of fish, grow vegetables, Hunt and breed cattle, but these features may be likewise released as add-on post launch. With regard to weapons, we can build some handcrafted, but will always maintain a high degree of realism, because the team is working on a weapons maintenance system that will speak later.

Finally, it seems that the game will attend upcoming Pax Prime, but it was not specified whether it will be in playable form.

For the moment the information end here, please stay tuned for further developments.
