Phil Spencer: SmartGlass is in all Microsoft games

Phil Spencer, during an interview at Joystiq, spoke about the new service SmartGlass and how this will be implemented in all future Microsoft Game Studios titles once they will be released. There are also given information about how it can be leveraged outside of video games: you will find excerpts from interview below.

"SmartGlass will synchronize with the Gamertag Xbox Live gamer, fornerdo different information depending on the situation and the game in which it is engaged. Obviously will not be vital information such as ' the enemy is preparing to shoot at you, but simple things that will not interfere with the gameplay but providing more details on what happens on the screen, such as app Halo Waypoint ATLAS "

"There will be situations like in Ascend: New Gods, where actually there's gameplay that will happen on Smartphones, even when you're away from the tv, and this also happens on the phone will move to the console. Then you will see an exchange of information and pictures, and the gameplay can be distributed across multiple devices. "

"Every time you enter or exit the app, but this will automatically connect at startup of the game, and always know what information to retrieve and show on the screen."

"You can also transfer video clips from the tablet to the Xbox. For example, suppose that you're watching an episode of Yor: Hunter of the Future on your tablet by train, and once at the station you can pause the episode, go home, transfer the video on Xbox and continue to see your series exactly where you had left. "

The app will support Windows 8, Windows Phone and other devices like Smartphones and Tablet based on Android and iOS.
