The co-founder of Epic Tim Sweeney stated that their Fortnite new game has been designed for a "casual users" different than "hardcore" accustomed to the saga of Gears Of War. The team was not yet ready to develop a new AAA title, so was born a brain storming where developers are divided into groups for a week by creating several prototypes, Fortnite among them.

Epic has however stated that this will be only a passing title before moving to develop another game from triple-A, but despite this the title in question is revelerà "cool" experience and different from the usual. Have not been revealed but other details, such as the date, the publisher or release mode.
