L'editore statunitense Sumthing Else Music Works ha annunciato che il 25 novembre sarà commercializzata in USA la colonna sonora di Gears of War 2, e sarà distribuita sia in CD nei negozi che in digital delivery dal sito dell'editore. 

I brani della soundtrack sono stati composti da Steve Jablonsky, già autore delle colonne sonore di film come Transformers e The Island, e registrati dalla Skywalker Symphonic Orchestra and Chorus presso lo studio Skywalker Sound di George Lucas. Vi riportiamo l'elenco completo dei brani presenti:
