After many rumors, the announcement has finally arrived: Bethesda and Virtuos have revealed The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, a new version of the 2006 RPG masterpiece that almost looks like a remake thanks to the completely new assets and graphics engine (Unreal Engine 5) and numerous gameplay improvements.

As expected, Bethesda also announced that the game is available now, including in Game Pass; here is the Store page.

In addition to 4K resolution at 60fps, all-new textures, lighting effects , and landscape enhancements, the game also updates all character, spell, and weapon animations , as well as dynamic time of day and weather effects.

The game also adds several improvements over the original game, including:

• Rework of the HUD, menus and maps
• Improved user interface for systems such as Persuasion, Clairvoyance, and more
• Changes to leveling, bulk, non-combat perks, and other mechanics
• Enemy leveling improvement
• Improved accessibility features
• Additional autosaves
• First and third person camera reimagining
• Much more
