11 Bit Studios has announced that The Alters, the fascinating sci-fi survival/management game in which we will have to conduct a walking laboratory on a visually spectacular alien planet, will arrive on our consoles (and in the Game Pass) on June 13th.

The game sees us in the role of the explorer scientist Jan Dolski, who stranded on a hostile planet and racing against a deadly dawn, sees as the only chance of survival to create "alters", alternative versions of himself shaped by the roads not traveled. Each Jan is endowed with unique abilities, personalities and memories, but also conflicts, doubts and strong emotions.

In the game, we'll have to manage our mobile lab, make critical decisions, build relationships with our Alters, and deal with the aftermath of their past lives. In addition, as a new trailer released today shows us, The Alters will see us explore unique biomes, where deadly anomalies stand in our way: levitating rocks and distortions of reality, but also singularities invisible to the naked eye that require special tools to be discovered.
