The platforming Pac-Man, Shadow Labyrinth, arrives in July and shows itself on video
Shadow Labyrinth is an epic adventure on a hostile planet, where players will be tested by new and familiar dangers, and where they will have to explore, hunt and consume the dark creatures that surround them in their quest to become the supreme predators of the planet.
The trailer gives us a first glimpse of a powerful mode that players will be able to unlock as they progress through the game, where they will take on the form of a massive robotic mech called GAIA. The GAIA is capable of dealing devastating damage to enemies, offering unique support during battles with some of the most epic and huge bosses in the game. GAIA is the latest revelation of the various game modes, which also allow you to take advantage of the fast and agile hand-to-hand combat of the protagonist Swordsman No. 8 and the Mini PACC mode, which will allow you to explore some small areas in full PAC-MAN style.
To set itself apart from any previous PAC-MAN game, Shadow Labyrinth allows players to take on the role of another character as the protagonist, a warrior named Swordsman No. 8, who will be accompanied by the mysterious yet familiar yellow sidekick named PACC. PACC will be a kind of guide and guardian, teaching players how to escape this dangerous world, consuming everything that awaits them in the darkness to survive and become more and more powerful.
Meanwhile, they will face increasingly challenging enemies and puzzles with gameplay that combines fluid and proven 2D action platformer mechanics with a modern and inspired game design. Shadow Labyrinth offers a vast world full of mazes to explore, while uncovering the terrifying secrets of the planet and its inhabitants. The game offers a compelling narrative, where by venturing into its labyrinthine world, you can begin to unravel the mystery of the planet and PACC's role in it. The rich story is inspired not only by PAC-MAN, but also by Bandai Namco's largest library of beloved classic games, promising to offer fans the familiarity and nostalgia of classic arcade titles.
We leave you to the video; enjoy!
