Xbox "Project Kennan" rumors: price, compatibility, launch window
According to Jez Corden, Microsoft is partnering with ASUS to develop the new handheld device, Project Kennan. This device will be a gaming laptop, similar to the ASUS ROG Ally, designed to work with Windows games. It won't directly support the entire Xbox library, but it will be compatible with Xbox Play Anywhere and Xbox Cloud Gaming .
The expected price is expected to range between $499 and $599, with two versions potentially offering different specifications. Project Kennan will use an AMD Z2 series chip and is expected to launch later this year. It also seems that Microsoft aims to make Windows more user-friendly for portable gaming devices, improving apps like Xbox Game Bar and Xbox App.
We also remember that according to the rumor leaked a few days ago, Microsoft is considering creating their own Xbox portable device for 2027.
We just have to wait for the Xbox Showcase in June to find out if the rumors leaked in these days will prove true.
