The Earth is dying, and humanity has run out of time. Twelve light-years from home, Tau Ceti f offers a glimmer of hope. When the colony ship Cassiopeia crashes on the planet, its crew members soon realize that they are not alone.
Hunted by alien organisms capable of imitating their prey, the Cassiopeia's crew members must outsmart their pursuers to return home alive. As they fight to survive, they are faced with the most difficult choice of all: to save their lives, they must put the lives of the rest of Earth at risk.
In space, death takes many forms.
AN ALIEN INVASION
The colony ship Cassiopeia has been infected by an alien organism, capable of transforming into any crew member. You may not be an alien, but the other crew members may be and the killers may be hiding behind familiar eyes. New stealth mechanics have been added to help players avoid these deadly opponents, but you'll need to keep a clear head, as enemies may emerge from unexpected locations, stealthily and hide to get past these deadly alien pursuers.
BRAVE RECRUITS
Meet the crew of the Cassiopeia. Over the course of the expedition, you'll control five crew members, but as your paranoia and fear increase, so will your mistrust. With their lives in your hands, the decisions you make will determine not only the fate of the crew, but also that of all humanity.
NEW MECHANICS
Directive 8020 introduces several new tools, which you can use to locate secrets, solve puzzles, and overcome enemies.
The mission is to survive, so each tool will help you think quickly and stay alive.
- The Flashlight - As you'd expect from our games, you'll spend a lot of time moving around in the dark! But be careful when using it, as the light may attract aliens.
- The Scanner - You'll have a scanner at your disposal to detect electronic devices and remotely activate certain systems, which will help you distract enemies and overcome obstacles.
- The messenger - If you're trying not to get caught, your messenger will allow you to communicate and strategize with other crew members while keeping a low profile.
- The Wedge - Created to open doors... But as a last resort, it can also be used as a weapon to temporarily stun enemies, thus giving you a chance to escape and avoid death.
