During the Developer_Direct a new "gunplay" of DOOM: The Dark Ages was shown, the latest effort by id Software, glorious development team author of the famous Doom and Quake sagas.

The trailer shown reveals the typical gameplay of the series: a ferocious, adrenaline-pumping fps with a varied and extravagant paraphernalia; all accompanied by a soundtrack with Rock and Heavy Metal songs. The game is as stated by the developers a prequel to the 2016 DOOM. In addition to the gameplay, the release date has also been announced: the game will be released May 15, 2025 on Xbox, PS5 and PC. Subscribers to the Game Pass Ultimate subscription service will be able to play the new DOOM from day-one.
