The first rumor about a remake of The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, Bethesda's cult RPG, dates back to July; at the time it was thought of a simple remaster, but then other rumors chased each other talking about a real remake, with a brand new engine: Unreal Engine 5.

Today comes yet another rumor thanks to the website of a developer of Virtuos Games, the studio that would be working on the project; on its website, the developer confirmed that the game is in development on UE5 and that it would be a real remake, with different systems redesigned to adapt to the tastes of modern gamers.

The developer explains that, among the improvements made to the game, there are a more modern blocking system, an improvement in the stealth system and an overhaul of the damage calculation system. The HUD has also been modified to make it more "readable" and attractive for modern players, while reaction animations to blows have also been added to make damage more realistic. Archery has also been improved to make it more modern.

It therefore seems that, for lovers of Bethesda RPGs, there will soon be a new opportunity to throw themselves into the world of Tamriel! We just have to wait for the official announcement, while according to some insiders, the game could arrive in June this year.
