Microsoft prepares to merge Xbox and Windows for a better PC gaming experience

In a recent debate held at an AMD and Lenovo event, "Vice President of Next Gen" Jason Ronald revealed that Microsoft is working to bring the Xbox interface to Windows 11, so as to allow portable consoles such as the Lenovo Legion Go to have an interface more suitable for gaming.

Ronald explained that Microsoft has spent more than 20 years developing and perfecting the Xbox OS, which is however based on Windows, and therefore now they will try to combine the two worlds so that even Windows players, on any device (not necessarily portable) can enjoy a "console-like" gaming experience.

What this means in practice we have yet to find out, but we imagine that in the future Windows 11 can be updated with an "Xbox mode" which will in fact replace the standard interface with the Xbox dashboard, perhaps even turning off all those background processes that can affect the gaming experience.

Could this be the first step for the future new Xbox, which is thought to be a sort of PC/Xbox hybrid? We hope to find out later this year.
