Monster Hunter Wilds: Open Beta announced, new biome revealed in video

Time for news for Monster Hunter Wilds fans: Capcom today announced the Open Beta of the game, which from November 1 to 4 will allow us to try the title in advance, also releasing a trailer that reveals the new biome of the Oil Basin and the terrifying monster Black Flame.

The Open Beta will be accessible from 04:00 in the morning on November 1st to 02:59 am on November 4th, with full cross-play support between all platforms. Participants will receive a special bonus pendant for decorating their Seicret weapons or mount, as well as a useful item pack in the full version of Monster Hunter Wilds. The Open Beta Test will include three distinct experiences: the full character creation tool, with character creation data that will be transferred to the full game upon release, a story preview, and the Doshaguma Free Hunt.

In the story preview, players will be able to experience the game's opening scene and basic drills while hunting a Chatacabra, while in Doshaguma Hunt they will be able to chase the Alpha of a pack of Doshaguma or explore the Windy Plains. Both the Story Preview and the Doshaguma Hunt can be played solo or in a group of up to four players online.

The new biome of the Oil Basin is instead a dangerous territory defined by bubbling oil wells. This territory is known to unleash raging flames during a period of inclemency known as "First Flame". The brutal Wyvern Rummage roams the areas covered by a deep layer of oil. This fearsome predator expels a toxic gas from its tongue to weaken its prey before using its tail to inject the gas into the tar covering the ground, causing bubbling eruptions. The Rompopolo often finds themselves fighting for territory against the Ajarakan, another never-before-seen monster that lives in this region. This beast with scorching fangs rubs its thick armor to cover itself in suffocating armor. In this incredibly harsh and changing environment, the village of Azuz, a skilled craftsman, has grown up around a huge central forge. As local artisans and fearsome wildlife struggle to survive, a mysterious monster known to locals as the "Black Flame" prowls the depths of the reservoir.

We leave you to the movie, reminding you that Monster Hunter Wilds is expected for February 28th. Enjoy the viewing!
