Blindfire: Double Eleven announces an FPS plunged into darkness, in early access from today on Xbox

During the Xbox Partner Preview event held today, the British studio Double Eleven announced the online FPS Blindfire, characterized by settings reminiscent of laser game arenas, and above all by a decidedly particular concept: the clashes take place in total darkness, where we will have to rely on our senses and skills to survive.

When it comes to gameplay mechanics, sounds are crucial because they allow players to locate enemies, through the sound of footsteps, gunfire, and other ambient noises, so the studio has placed a lot of emphasis on audio design. We also come to our aid with the Echo ability, which allows players to emit a sound wave that temporarily reveals their surroundings. The game maps are designed to offer different strategic challenges and opportunities, with complex layouts and points of interest.

The main mode of the game, Bodycount, can be played in teams or free-for-all, with a scoring system that rewards the use of skills; Here, you earn points both by killing enemies and by completing specific objectives. The title still encourages teamwork, with cooperation between team members and the interaction of different skills; oreach player can unlock and use special abilities that can change the dynamics of the game, such as traps, sensors, and temporary power-ups.

And not only was the game revealed today, but it was also announced that it will arrive today on Xbox, through the Game Preview program (link to the store) which allows us to try the titles during development. Here is the announcement trailer and a set of images.
