Assassin's Creed Shadows no longer releases in November, postponed to February

Something was brewing: yesterday Ubisoft had in fact suddenly canceled its live broadcast of the Tokyo Game Show and a press event to preview Assassin's Creed Shadows. And today we find out why: the French publisher has announced that the new title in the Assassin series has been postponed to February 14, three months after the November 15 release scheduled so far.

The developer has released the following statement to justify the postponement:

Assassin's Creed Shadows will be released on February 14, 2025. While the game is already complete, the experience gained with the release of Star Wars Outlaws has prompted us to allow more time to further refine the title. This will allow the biggest title in the franchise to fully realize its ambitions, in particular by delivering on the promise of a dual-protagonist adventure, with Naoe and Yasuke presenting two very different playstyles.

Ubisoft also announced that the new game will abandon the Season Pass model, and those who pre-order the game will be able to access the title's first expansion at no additional cost when it comes out.

We look forward to further updates!
