NBA 2K25 introduces improvements to The City

2K has released a new trailer and a series of information related to the new features that players will find in The City mode, in the next-gen console version of NBA 2K25. The game will welcome players to a completely revamped Interactive City, designed to be more hospitable and familiar, a hub on the Boulevard of Stars, a larger arena to house the Testing Grounds, the return of MyFIELD, the iconic MyPARKS from 2K15 and much more.

We leave you with the list of news and the new trailer.

  • An all-new interactive city: NBA 2K25 features an all-new, vibrant basketball-focused city. Featuring a richer map, where empty spaces have been eliminated and every building has a purpose, The City has been designed to be more personal and dynamic. In the heart of the city is the Boulevard of the Stars, a luxury street that allows easy access to all game modes and experiences such as the revamped Pro-AM, REC and Ante-Up. The street is lined with the Walk of Fame, which showcases all the teams in the NBA league and leaves seats still to be filled. When players win their championships in MyCAREER, they will become part of NBA history.
  • My COURT: In response to community requests, NBA 2K25 reintroduces My COURT. The apartment and basketball court in the center of town are the places reserved for players to train and are the headquarters for NBA 2K25 MyCAREER. Players can hone their skills and train on their own, or invite friends and MyCAREER companions to play 1v1, 3v3, HORSE, and other types of matches. Players can customize MyCAMP with new murals earned from the season's missions and rewards.
  • Proving Grounds: Proving Grounds is the new venue for the most heated competitions in The City. The Colosseum-inspired arena is the go-to place for ranked matches, with heated 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, or 5v5 challenges, with Difficulty Indicators and Shot Meters turned off. Proving Grounds will highlight the best players in NBA 2K25 with rankings that update daily highlighting the top players on the leaderboard for each game type. The top five players in each season will earn exclusive rewards, while everyone who competes in Testing Grounds will be able to level up and earn the best REP in The City.
  • RISE and ELITE Affiliations: The rivalry between ELITE and RISE continues in NBA 2K25 with new courts for each Affiliation. ELITE players will settle in the remains of an old fortress that once served as a bustling center for the maritime trade of pirates, with playgrounds on the deck and inside a pirate ship. Those who join RISE will instead find themselves in a futuristic and vibrant robot factory, with huge mechs being assembled. Following community feedback, the playgrounds within each Affiliation park have been designed to be closer together and easier to reach, so players can get into the action faster.
  • Iconic MyPARK Integrations: NBA 2K25 is stepping on nostalgia and celebrating the decade since NBA 2K15 by bringing all four MyPARK backs to the Event Center. From the sunny park of Sunset Beach, to the industrial Rivet City, to the urban setting of the Old Town and, of course, to the updated My PARK of the Old Town on the aircraft carrier, all "My PARK" have been remastered to the smallest detail, using next-generation technology and lighting. A new remaster will be unveiled during each of the first four Seasons.
  • Co-Op Basketball: Back with more rewards and three all-new locations. NBA 2K25 introduced Co-Op mode for Basketball, which allows players to join forces with up to two other friends in 3v3 matches to destroy a new set of bosses and complete Basketball missions together.
  • New features for beginners: Several new features have been added to NBA 2K25 to make the city more welcoming for beginners. On the outside of each building or activity, the new HoloHelp Info kiosks provide players with a detailed description of how each mode works and the desired skill level for that experience. Meanwhile, in the ELITE and RISE parks, there are new beginner-friendly Random Playgrounds, with simpler challenges, allowing players to learn how to play together with other beginners.
