The new Dragon Age is now called The Veilguard, revealed on June 11

EA and BioWare revealed today that the new Dragon Age, previously known by the subtitle Dreadwolf, will instead be called Dragon Age: The Veilguard. This name change was intended to emphasize the importance of the protagonists (who form the Veilguard, in fact), rather than focusing attention on the main enemy, Dreafwolf.

The game's executive producer, Gary McKay, explained:

Each of the seven unique characters that make up your companions will have a deep and compelling story, where the decisions you make will impact your relationships with them and their lives. By uniting this team of unforgettable heroes, you will face a terrifying new threat unleashed on the world. Of course, the Dreadwolf still plays an important role in this story, but the heart of this new experience is you and your companions, not your enemies.

For this reason, in order to capture the essence of this game, we changed the name, as the original title did not show how much we care about our new heroes, their stories, and how you will have to bring them together to save all of Thedas.

We proudly present Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

The studio also announced that the game will finally be revealed on June 11 at 5 p.m. (Italian time) on the official Youtube channel, with a gameplay footage of over 15 minutes: update then to Tuesday to discover the game together!
