After announcing that the second season of the Halo TV Series will arrive on February 8, 2024, Paramount has now released the first trail of the new season, in which we can see some interesting details certainly influenced by the change of showrunner.

The new season is in fact no longer conducted by Steven Kane, who had made the previous arc, but by David Wiener, who - at least judging by the trailer - seems to have imposed a darker and more dramatic direction on the series.

The protagonist of the trailer is one of the most important events of Halo lore: the Fall of Reach, the battle in which the UNSC troops and the Spartans opposed the massive Covenant invasion and from which the Master Chief left aboard the Pillar of Autumn for Installation 04, the ring of the first Halo that, We imagine, it will be the scene of a third season.

In addition to the darker/more dramatic twist, in the trailer we also notice a restyling of Cortana, perhaps indicative of a change in the character of the AI or even a new version of the same, after the events that involved her with Master Chief at the end of the first season.
