Warner Bros. today announced two new characters joining the Mortal Kombat 1 roster, Smoke and Rain, releasing a new trailer in which they appear as we are shown the efforts of Scorpion and Sub-Zero to fulfill the goals of Lin Kuei.

Smoke is another member of the ancient warrior clan with a particular expertise in stealth and practical magic. Deeply attached to Scorpion and Sub-Zero, Smoke has embraced the clan's mission and joins the brothers of the Lin Kuei to defend the Earth Kingdom. Rain is the high mage of the Outer Realm, who has honed his skills with aquatic magic to the point of making it a deadly weapon. Now he hopes to discover the most powerful and dark spells in the Kingdom.

In the video you can also see the new fighters Kameo Sektor, Cyrax, Frost and Scorpion, who provide a wide variety of moves and support capabilities in the clashes.
