Even the blue porcupines have a new look, this is definitely the case of Sonic in Sonic Superstars. Sega has in fact announced a new title in the Sonic saga where in addition to a completely renewed graphics new powers and new game dynamics are introduced.

Sonic Superstars is expected in stores in the fall of this year; Below you will find the first official details and the announcement trailer with a set of images.

• Sonic's classic 2D platformer has been reimagined for next-gen platforms with new zones, music, gameplay, and modern UHD graphics only possible with 3D graphics. Sonic's movements, physics, and controls are familiar and have been made with both recent and historical fans in mind.
• Your favorite playable characters

• Step into the shoes of fan-favorite characters – Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy Rose – to take on Dr. Eggman, old nemesis Fang and their nefarious plans. Sonic designer Naoto Ohshima is back with a new character that Sonic and his friends will have to face.
• Seven Emerald powers

• Use the power of the seven Chaos Emeralds to unlock several new abilities, such as creating clones of yourself, climbing waterfalls, powering up, and more!
