Diablo IV Open Beta: Full Details on schedules, classes, content, and rewards

Tonight took place the last direct with the developers of Diablo IV, during which more details were provided on the Open Beta of the game expected on March 17 in early access and March 24 for everyone. During the live the developers have clarified the start and end times of the Beta but above all the contents that we will find, the classes that we can use and what rewards we will get.

Here are all the details.

PURPOSE OF THE OPEN BETA

During the Open Beta and Early Access weekends, players will be able to explore the early stages of Diablo IV in detail. A first glimpse of the campaign is available with the prologue and the entire Act I. The first area, the Shattered Peaks, will be at your disposal: wander through those irregular lands and mow down the hordes of demons.

During Open Beta and Early Access weekends, your character can only go up to level 25, but you can continue to take down demons until the end of the open beta. Make your mark on Sanctuary by defeating demonic hordes on expeditions, completing exciting missions provided by locals, and amassing powerful loot collected from fallen enemies.

In short, it's your chance to challenge the power of the Burning Hells before the official release on June 6th. That said, remember that the gaming experience isn't final, and you may experience performance issues, sudden game or server crashes, or game elements that simply don't work. At the end of the open beta, we will evaluate all feedback received and make the necessary changes. We can't wait for you to enjoy this little taste of what Diablo IV has to offer.

DETAILS OF THE OPEN BETA

Length of Open Beta and Early Access weekends

  • Early access to the open beta starts on 17 March at 18:00 CET and ends on 20 March at 21:00 CET.
  • The open beta starts on 24 March at 18:00 CET and ends on 27 March at 21:00 CET.

As we get closer to the Open Beta and Early Access weekends, we'll be making the game available to download early. We will update this section in the future with this information.

Choose your role

During Early Access weekend, players will have access to three classes. Embody a battle-scarred Barbarian, a cunning Cutthroat or the powerful Enchanter, master of elemental energies. Once the open beta weekend begins, you can also choose the Earth Shaper classes, the Druid, and the undead master, the Necromancer, in addition to those already available.

You can create a maximum of 10 characters per Battle.net account. After reaching level 25 with a character, you'll want to try to fend off the demonic hordes with other classes to discover your favorite. While progress will carry over from Early Access weekend to Open Beta weekend, all characters created during these periods will be deleted at the end of the beta.

Tenth enemies in co-op

On all consoles that support Diablo IV, players will be able to hire a second demon slayer in local co-op to fight the armies of the Underworld on the same screen. To play in local co-op during Early Access weekend, only one player will need access to the experience, the other party member will only need to have linked Battle.net and console accounts.

The strength of the Burning Hells knows no bounds. But you can even the scores by gathering a group of demon-slayers by playing online co-op with up to 4 members of the party. To play like this during Early Access weekend, all players must have access to the experience, except those who play in local co-op.

Please note, defeating demons near other players will provide you with 5% more experience points, increased to 10% if they are members of your party.

Face huge world bosses

The most unstoppable travelers looking for a worthy challenge will have something for themselves: it will be possible to find a giant world boss at certain times of the Open Beta and Early Access weekends. Team up with other players for a chance to defeat the beast. Should you defeat her, substantial loot awaits you. We will update this section in the future with additional information.
