IO Interactive, the Danish studio behind the Hitman series, today announced its next effort, codenamed Project Fantasy. This is the rumored Project Dragon, or at least an evolution of it; According to rumors, the game was supposed to be an Xbox exclusive, but it is not clear if the plans have remained so.

The developers explain for now only that it is an online fantasy RPG, a new IP and a new game world on which the studio focuses a lot. Production has just begun, so it will still be several years before we see it in action, but this announcement serves to attract talent and form a solid development team.
