Rumor: an Xbox event in early 2023, with the announcement of the new Tango Gameworks project

After the absence of Microsoft at The Game Awards 2022, many have speculated that the Redmond house may have wanted to keep its cards hidden to reveal them in a dedicated event in the coming months. And today comes the famous journalist and insider Jeff Grubb to corroborate this hypothesis, also providing interesting additional information.

Guest of the latest episode of the XboxEra Podcast, Grubb has in fact reported that he received rumors of an Xbox event in early 2023, explaining that in addition to updates on the titles already announced there will also be new announcements, including the new title of Tango Gameworks, the Japanese software house of the creator of Resident Evil and The Evil Within Shinji Mikami . The journalist clarifies, however, that, according to his sources, it will not be a high-level AAA production but more something of the level of Pentiment, the acclaimed Obsidian title released in November. And given the great result of Josh Sawyer's game, we can't wait to find out what Mikami's mind may have created with an experimental title of this type!

The news comes a few weeks after the leak of the creation by Microsoft of a new "Xbox Studio" (image above), dedicated to the production of video content and events of this type and which, we hope, will be used with some frequency to update us on the news of Xbox, Bethesda and, perhaps, in the future also Activision Blizzard. We will update you if we know more!
