Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios today released a new movie of Dead Island 2, the new zombie title arriving on April 28th, giving us an overview of the game's features and gameplay mechanics.

The video highlights the exclusive gore technology of the title, the upgradeable weapons, the combat system and of course the hordes of zombies that populate this reproduction of Los Angeles, from Beverly Hills to the shores of Santa Monica to a burning Hollywood sign.

The game's combat system uses edged weapons, kicks, fights and fire through the use of katanas, machetes, swords, hammers, guns and more, while the Fully Locational Evisceration System for Humanoids (F.L.E.S.H.) offers "the most gruesome dismemberment experience ever seen in a video game". In addition, weapons will be upgradeable with upgrades and add-ons, while players can take advantage of their zombie infection to acquire devastating powers.

The movie also reveals the Alexa Game Control feature, which allows players to perform game actions using their voice, but which unfortunately will only be available in English in the US, Canada and UK.
