The US site Hollywood Reporter revealed today that Netflix and Microsoft have signed an agreement for the production of a film and animated series dedicated to the world of Gears of War; The Coalition, the studio responsible for the development of the franchise, will oversee and collaborate on these projects.

Netflix's plans are currently to create a movie with live actors and a first animated series; If these projects achieve the expected success, further productions will follow.
