After the surprise announcement of the arrival of Return to Monkey Island on Xbox and Game Pass at launch, Devolver Digital has now released the trailer dedicated to the arrival on our consoles of the new adventure by Ron Gilbert, already landed in September on PC and Switch.

Return to Monkey Island, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, marks the exciting and unexpected return of series creator Ron Gilbert, who continues the story of legendary graphic adventures The Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge.

It's been many years since Guybrush Threepwood last faced his nemesis, zombie pirate LeChuck, in a battle of wit and intellect. Elaine Marley, his great love, no longer occupies the role of governor, and Guybrush himself drifts, dissatisfied that he never found the secret of Monkey Island. A new group of young and confident pirate leaders, led by Captain Madison, has ousted the old guard, Mêlée Island has taken a turn for the worse and the famous entrepreneur Stan is in prison for "criminal marketing activities".

Exchange jokes with old friends and new faces on familiar islands, now run by dangerous new bosses. Then take to the sea and explore unknown waters to escape difficult situations. Clever puzzles, bizarre circumstances, and devastating back-and-forth stand between Guybrush and glory.

Ferrying classic point-and-click gameplay to the present day, intrepid pirates will have to solve puzzles and explore islands thanks to the intelligent evolution of traditional graphic adventure controls. With contextual interactions, interactive tree dialogues, and an intuitive inventory system, the path to piracy has never been easier.

Embark on a great adventure in the archipelago

Explore the hospitable but not too hospitable boundaries of Mêlée Island, a familiar place where the new management has put old friends and new faces to the test. Venture into uncharted lands such as the aptly named Terror Island and the thrilling outposts of Brrr Muda where you'll forge alliances and make new enemies.
