Microsoft today announced the release of the October update of Xbox, which brings with it some interesting news for the console's operating system. The first is the possibility to adjust the TV audio directly from the dashboard, thanks to a special option in the Audio and Music area of the Panel, available on all consoles connected to a TV that supports the CEC control system.

Other minor innovations are the ability to change the startup sound of the console, useful not to disturb any other people when you want to make a game session, a new screen for selecting the Xbox Home that makes it more intuitive and better explains the sharing process of the console, and the change of some names in the interface. After the update you will also be asked to update your consoles, since a fix has been released for some firmware bugs.

As always, the update will be rolled out gradually to all consoles, or you can force it to install from the system settings.
