Microsoft today announced the release of the Xbox September update, which brings with it some interesting news for the console's operating system. The first is the possibility, from the Accessories app, to customize the color of the Xbox button LED on the Elite Series 2 controller (both the original one and the new Core model).

Through a practical color palette you can access 16 million shades of color, so you have the button of the color you prefer.

The second, welcome, novelty is an improvement of the tab of the complete collection of our games in the My games and apps screen: now above the list of our games appear a series of "tabs" among which we can scroll to see all the games, only those owned, only those of the Game Pass and so on. Definitely a valuable help to navigate our collection of games.

The last, but not least, novelty is the possibility, in the settings for memory devices, to decide the positions in which to download by default the various types of games and content, in case you have more memory devices. For example, we can decide that games optimized for Xbox Series X|S always go to the internal SSD, while non-optimized games and apps go to an external USB disk, so as to optimize the available space.

As always, the update will be released gradually to all consoles, or you can force them to install from the system settings.
