Gearbox today revealed the gameplay of New Tales from the Borderlands, a sequel to the Telltale adventure this time developed internment at the Texas studio, with a long game demonstration and a shorter trailer dedicated to the characters of the game.

The American studio also explained that it has worked closely with former Telltale employees to maintain the nature of the series, but making important changes to the gameplay to make it more modern. For example, since now the acting of the characters is done entirely in motion capture, when we make a decision we will no longer see the historical message "character X will remember this thing", but we will see directly in the expressions and movements of the characters the fact that we have appreciated or not our choices.

These are the main features of the game:

• Every choice is important - Every choice you make can have an impact on the course of the story, often in unexpected ways. Only by playing will you understand how your decisions can change the Borderlands;
• Impact of Quick Time Events - Succeeding or failing QTEs has a tangible impact on your adventure, sometimes leading to a premature conclusion and other times shaping your story in unexpected ways;
• Immersive Visuals - In addition to the beautiful settings, New Tales from the Borderlands uses greatly improved facial and motion animations, using performance capture and facial mapping technology for the first time in a Borderlands title.

Coming instead to the three main characters of the game, here are their descriptions:

• Anuradha Dahr - Although Anuradha (Anu) may be uncomfortable in social environments, she has no problem solving problems! Anu is able to analyze complex calculations, probabilities and solve puzzles with his technological glasses. This benefactor dreams of a world in which no one has to kill to make a career;
• Octavio Wallace Dahr - Anu's adopted brother, Octavio, can be a bit full of himself. According to him, he is the most popular citizen of Meridian City and has a long list of contacts that confirm this. Its ability to access information is unparalleled! Octavio's big chance hasn't arrived yet, but he desperately wants to have a business and make a lot of money;
• Fran Miscowicz - Fran brings all the action out of her wheelchair full of gadgets. Fran's frogurt shop was hit by a Maliwan laser and now wants to take revenge on the people who destroyed his shop. She will stop at nothing to protect her friends and hope to receive much-owed insurance compensation, otherwise the insurance company will have to deal directly with her.

Every choice made by players, big or small, will determine the fate of each character in an unexpected way. Whether it's Anu's vision of a universe that markets more than weapons, Octavio's dreams of fame and fortune, or Fran's icy plan of revenge, their success or failure depends on the decisions made during the game. Only by playing will we be able to fully understand how our decisions can change the Borderlands.
