EA today announced the imminent arrival of a feature in high demand for F1 22: cross-play, which will allow us to play online multiplayer between different platforms. Coming later this month, the public release of this feature will be preceded by two separate tests that will take place from August 5 to 7 and August 12-14 in the Social Race and Two-Player Career modes.

Those who do not want to meet players from other platforms, however, do not worry: cross-play can be deactivated in the game options. Those who want to use it, on the other hand, can invite friends to other platforms through the "Invite friends" option in the game lobby. Players will be able to review and accept requests during the race by pausing the game and visiting the "Invitations and Requests" option.
