After demonstrating the feasibility and success of Minecraft spin-offs that address different video game genres, as was the case with Minecraft Dungeons, Mojang could be working on other genres set in the hugely popular cube world. And it seems that one of them will be a third-person strategic one, an RTS.

This was revealed by the American journalist Jeff Gerstmann, explaining that the Swedish studio would be working on the spin-off with a third parner. And, after some investigation, it seems that this partner may be Double Eleven, the same studio that has already worked on Minecraft Dungeons; in the job ads page of the studio, in fact, we find ads for an "important, IP, RTS game".

Is this really the case? Is Minecraft ready for the leap into the world of real-time strategy? Surely it would lend itself well, especially if it included a component of "creative construction" to be used in our strategies. Suppose that, if the project exists, we will hear about it soon!
