Capcom announces the remake of Resident Evil 4, arrives in March 2023
While the rumor of two years ago gave the game to be released in 2022, however, the Japanese house has announced that the already highly anticipated remake will arrive instead on March 24, 2023.
Here are the official details, the announcement trailer and a set of images that show us the new graphics of the game.
Resident Evil 4 is a remake of the original Resident Evil 4 released in 2005. Refurbished for 2023, Resident Evil 4 retains the essence of the original and uses Capcom's proprietary RE Engine to deliver modernized gameplay, a reimagined storyline, and vividly detailed graphics.
The original Resident Evil 4 title, which set the standard for the subsequent Resident Evil franchise, introduced the third-person camera to the long-running series, which has sold over 125 million units worldwide since the debut of the first title in 1996. This new perspective took players inside the action and horrors encountered by protagonist Leon S. Kennedy during his daring rescue mission.
Resident Evil 4 finds Leon S. Kennedy six years after his hellish experiences in the Raccoon City biological disaster. His unparalleled determination allowed him to be recruited as an agent reporting directly to the President of the United States. With the experience of numerous missions behind him, Leon is sent to rescue the President's daughter, recently kidnapped. Leon tracks her down in an isolated European village, but after the first contact he discovers that a fervor beyond reason grips the local population.
Now, this reimagined story of survival in the face of overwhelming terror returns to deliver a modern and visually stunning gaming experience, true to the promise of the original release. Many members of the team that produced Resident Evil 2, the best-selling and critically acclaimed game in 2019, also make their return to delve into the essence of Resident Evil 4. Both fans and newcomers will be able to enjoy the new and familiar, as RE Engine enhances the creative direction of the original to tell an even darker and more disturbing story.
