On the occasion of the Epic Games event "State of Unreal", The Coalition (Gears of War) presented a new tech demo of the Unreal Engine 5 recorded in real time on Xbox Series X, which combines scenes from previous demos and then shows us a spectacular unpublished sequence.

The Coalition explains that this demo shows how it is possible to render in real time on Xbox Series X scenes composed of millions of polygons, a jump of about 100 times in the level of detail compared to the past, all showing also the new techniques of capture and facial animation that the studio has equipped itself with.

The scene is also very interesting, with a man who drives away a threatening fog using a bright crystal: is it a hint of the new IP that some insiders claim is in development at The Coalition?
