It's been more than 10 years since we saw on Xbox a game dedicated to Gundam, the famous anime/ manga saga by Yoshiyuki Tomino, but finally we can return to control the powerful Mobile Suits in Gundam Evolution, a new free-to-play title announced by Bandai Namco and expected to arrive later this year.

Gundam Evolution is a free-to-play team-based shooter with 6v6 PvP combat. The game will offer three objective-based modes: Point Capture, Domination and Destruction. There will be a unique set of challenges where teams will have to plan and implement formidable attack and defense strategies to achieve victory.

Each playable unit in Gundam Evolution has its own unique combination of offensive, defensive and/or support skills that can turn the tide of battle. The initial roster of playable characters will include 12 units, including the classic RX-78-2 GUNDAM and the iconic ASW-G-08 GUNDAM BARBATOS. It will be possible to unlock additional mobile suits and customizable items in two ways: using Capital Points (CP), which can be accumulated by playing, or EVO coins, which can be purchased with real currency.

Soon a network test of the PC game will start, while later we will be able to try it on consoles; waiting to know more, we leave you to the announcement trailer of the game.
