SEGA today announced a new expansion for the story of Lost Judgment, the popular new Yakuza spin-off released last September. Titled The Kaito Files and coming march 28, the expansion is included in the game's Ultimate Edition and Season Pass, or will be available for free for owners of the basic version of the game.

The Kaito Files is a four-chapter expansion of the story that will see us play as the new protagonist of the Yagami detective agency, Masaharu Kaito, who will have to face a new case that binds outstanding issues of his past. Kaito brings with him his Primal Focus investigative techniques and two bestial fighting styles to challenge new enemies and solve the case with a distinct swagger.

Following the events of Lost Judgment, Kaito takes a lucrative case while Yagami is out of town in search of his old flame, Mikiko. Along the way, Kaito meets Jun, a teenager who claims to be their son and who teams up with him to uncover the truth behind Mikiko's disappearance. Now Kaito finds himself immersed in past and present and must face a syndicate linked to Kamurocho's criminal underbelly. But why did Kaito and Mikiko separate and what does this dark faction have to do with her?
