We already knew that this year's Call of Duty was in development at Infinity Ward, and now Activision has confirmed this by also explaining that it will be a sequel to CoD: Modern Warfare of 2019. The publisher also explained that the studio is recreating the entire title from scratch to provide us with an innovative and different experience than in the past.

But that's not all: Infinity Ward is also working on the remake of Warzone, which will arrive together with the new CoD, which will bring players of the F2P title "a huge evolution of the Battle Royale with a completely new game area and sandbox mode". Both games are in development with a new engine created for the purpose by Infinity Ward.
