Yesterday was N7 Day,the day Mass Effect fans celebrate the universe of the sci-fi series, and for the occasion BioWare has released a new taste of the next title currently in development.

It is a very suggestive artwork, a photo from above of the spacecraft that will make us home in the new title with some crew members (one of whom appears to be a Krogan) just landed to explore an alien planet, in front of a huge crater apparently caused by an object crashed to the ground (and that ominously resembles the head of a Geth, the historical enemies of the series).

Between the four crew members and the crater we can see a vaguely anthropomorphic form on the ground, like a downed being: many think that it is actually a Geth,and that therefore the new game will see the return of the cybernetic race.

The image also reveals what could be the name, or at least the codename, of the new spacecraft: SFX, which was also the codename of the first Mass Effect, before it received the official title. This is certainly an indication of the developers to suggest that the title will follow more in the footsteps of the first trilogy, rather than those of the last and highly criticized Andromeda.
