New for Flight Simulator: Reno Air Races DLC date with PvP multiplayer, GOTY edition
The DLC will arrive in two editions: the Reno Air Races: Expansion Pack at the price of 19.99 Euro and the more substantial Reno Air Races: Full Collectionpack, priced at 59.99 Euro.
The most expensive option will offer us the multiplayer experience accompanied by 40 officially licensed aircraft, including 10 North American P-51 Mustang, 10 North American T-6 Texan, 10 Aero L-39 Albatros and 10 Aviat Pitts Special S1S. Among them are many famous "Gold" champions such as Miss America, Strega, Voodoo, Baron's Revenge, Radial Velocity, Six-Cat, American Spirit and Pipsqueak, as well as many other top racers.
The €19.99 pack will combine the multiplayer experience with four highly detailed aircraft: a North American T-6 Texan, a North American P-51 Mustang, an Aero L-39 Albatros and an Aviat Pitts Special. This is the best option for those who want to test themselves with multiplayer races but are not a super-fan of this aspect of flying.
The second news is related to the announcement of the Game of the Year Edition of the game, designed to celebrate the great success of the title and the many awards received from critics. Also coming on November 18 and released as a free update for all game owners and Xbox Game Pass subscribers, this edition of the game will introduce a number of new content:
New aircraft:
- Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet: The first military jet coming to the title, to let us savor the thrill of piloting these cars before the arrival of the Expansion Top Gun: Maverick will be released next spring.
- VoloCity: The well-known German company Volocopter is working on an eVTOL called "VoloCity", a vision for an urban air taxi. Microsoft worked closely with Volocopter's engineering team to develop an authentic version of the aircraft prototype for the simulator. This is the first aircraft in the title capable of performing vertical landings and is a preview of what we can expect in 2022, when helicopters will be introduced in the simulator.
- Pilatus PC-6 Porter: This legendary short take-off and landing utility aircraft (STOL) is a very versatile aircraft from Switzerland and comes with several cabins, cockpits and landing gear variants. A great and fun new aircraft with exceptional capabilities.
- CubCrafters NX Cub: CubCrafters, based in Yakima, recently introduced a nosewheel option for their flagship CC-19 XCub Aircraft, popularly called NX Cub, which is introduced to the flight simulator audience to further improve bush flying and options outside the airport.
- Aviat Pitts Special S1S: One of the most popular aircraft in the simulator gets a single-seater option.
