Activision today revealed Call of Duty: Vanguard's Zombies Mode, Sledgehammer Games' new FPS coming November 5. This four-player co-op mode is now a fixture in all episodes of the war shooter, and this year will see us delve into the story of theDark Aether that began in CoD: Black Ops Cold War.

Set during World War II in Stalingrad, this new Zombies experience begins with the opening of the Dark Ether portal with the Projekt Endstation. After the Nazis' experiment failed disastrously by creating an opening in the dimensional veil, the effects were not long in spreading.

A portal will launch us into the action taking us to fight against the undead on the rain-soaked rooftops of the Royal Hotel or dragging us through the swamps of Shi No Numa. Between targets, we'll have to explore Stalingrad's expanding base of operations to access classic power-ups such as specialties, weapon upgrades, and the Pack-a-Punch. New upgrades such as the powerful Altar of Covenants will also be introduced.
