NHL 22 revealed on video, switch to Frostbite Engine
Thanks to the new engine, players will present greater realism in appearance, in the animations of the fabrics and in the micro-details of the uniforms, all with a higher resolution to make every detail visible. In addition to this, gameplay side players will have a greater awareness of what is happening around them and will have physically accurate interactions with sticks.
Superstars will look more like their real counterparts thanks to the introduction of Superstar X-Factors,a system that changes the game by activating unique abilities for the best players in the game, with traits inspired by their individual real-world abilities. Superstar X-Factors will introduce two key elements to help elevate the hockey elite and distance them from the crowd: Zone Abilities and Superstar Abilities. Zone Abilities bring major improvements to the best players, while Superstar Abilities represent higher-level abilities reserved for athletes playing at the highest level.
Players like Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl, whose "Tape to Tape" ability reflects his elite central pass; or Tampa Bay Lightning goalkeeper Andrei Vasilevskiy's "Contortionist" X-factor, which increases his ability to make wild, twisted parades with ease, will have a profound impact on NHL 22gameplay. The X-Factor Superstar not only brings new facets to the gameplay, but also adds new dimensions to franchise mode, Be A Pro, Hockey Ultimate Team and World of Chel.
We leave you to the trailer and a set of images: good vision!
