Bethesda and Microsoft have announced that, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, on November 11, 2021, owners of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition (including Xbox Game Pass subscribers) and Xbox Series X|S upgrade that will introduce specific optimizations for the new consoles.

For now it has not been announced what these optimizations will consist of, but it has been revealed that the update will bring with it three new content (also available for owners of old-gen consoles) created through the Creation Club: fishing activities, the Survival Mode and new missions of the Saints and Seducers.

But that's not all: always on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the game, on November 11, a new edition of the title entitled Anniversary Editionwill also arrive . This will include all the contents of the Special Edition, the new next-gen update, the three expansions released so far and 500 additional content from the Creation Club, including new missions, dungeons, bosses, weapons, spells and more. Owners of the game's Special Edition and Xbox Game Pass subscribers will have the option to purchase an upgrade to turn their version into the Anniversary Edition, so they can enjoy the 500 additional content.
