Halo Infinite: 343 explains multiplayer seasons and fracture events

After the E3 reveal, 343 Industries begins to reveal all the elements of Halo Infinitea little at a time, starting from the multiplayer component that, as we know, will be free-to-play and separate from the main game containing the Campaign. Today the Redmond team tells us about the structure of seasons and events, including Fracture events that will introduce non-canonical content.

343 explains that Halo Infinite's multiplayer will be punctuated by QuarterlySeasons : the three-month duration has been decided not to bore players with content that lasts too long, and at the same time not to remove the content and game opportunities of each Season too soon. Each of these will be thematic and will introduce specific content and challenges: the first, which will start on the debut of the game, will be called "Heroes of Reach" and will be inspired by the events of Halo: Reach, with themed content such as armor from noble team members.

As for the customization opportunities, moreover, many have wondered what the location of the beautiful Yoroi armor already seen will be, inspired by Japanese samurai: the developers explain in this regard that, while the seasonal Battle Pass will give us access to canonicalcontent, with customizations that find their justified place in the Halo universe, from time to time will also arrive weekly thematic events called Fracture,in which the team will indulge in imaginative variations (and, let's assume, also linked to franchises outside the world of Halo, as already happens in other F2P titles). The first Fracture event should be called Tenrai, and will give access to samurai-themed customizations.

With regard to Battle Passes,343 has also reiterated for paid ones that they want to do what is right and fair to players: even when a Season is over, their Battle Pass will continue to be playable and selectable if we still want to continue its progression, and players will even be able to purchase battle passes from seasons already past, to explore their contents. In this way, the purchase of a Battle Pass will not become an obligation for the player to play it all by the end of the season, but will be exploreable as desired. 343 developers insist that players should not feel like a "job" the obligation to dig as fast as possible into the contents of the Pass, but that they must know that they have always available it based on the time they can devote to it.

We leave you now to a trio of images that show us some examples of customizing multiplayer armor, including the beautiful Yoroi armor.
