Publisher and developer French Microids today announced the development of UFO Robot Goldrake,an action game based on Go Nagai's famous manga and anime, with powerful robottone Goldrake and his pilot Actarus.

Made 45 years ago, the cult animated series was one of the first Japanese successes capable of conquering the whole world in the 1970s. The iconic battles against Vega, the base of the villains on the far side of the moon, and Goldrake's incredible weapons have marked the imagination of entire generations, and shaped the next sci-fi universe. Now the legend is about to return as a video game for the current consoles.

The game is developed with the official support of Go Nagai and his Dynamic Planning; in this regard, the legendary Japanese author stated: "Giving new life to the adventures of Goldrake thanks to modern technologies is a dream come true. I'm very happy with the partnership that just ended, and I can't wait to get my hands on the video game."
