Hello Games today announced the release of a major new update for No Man's Sky that introduces pet creatures. A galaxy of new companions

Now all the infinite and varied creatures that run through the universe can be tamed and adopted as companions. After bonding with you, they'il be callable anywhere, even aboard the space anomaly.

Raising a new generation

Well-looked-after creatures will lay eggs! Incubate these eggs in the exotuta until they are ready to hatch to give life to a new being.

• Explored together – Creatures can be trained to perform tasks such as searching for resources, pointing out dangers, providing light, hunting down hostile creatures, spotting buildings, unearthing valuable treasures, and using hooked mining lasers.
• Play together – Use specific gestures to give orders to teammates while browsing. When your teammate encounters other players, creatures or teammates, they may get curious, try to play, or even be aggressive, depending on their personality.
• Unique personalities – Each creature has its own personality, determined by the species to which it belongs and the role it plays in the ecosystem. Personality influences their behavior, as well as the way they think and communicate.
• Alien neurotransduction – The ends of the creatures are equipped with a neural connection with the exotuta, which allows the rudimentary translation of thoughts and desires. Finally you can talk to the creatures you meet!
