According to a new rumor, the new Call of Duty,scheduled to be released during the fourth quarter of this year, would be set during World War II. The leak comes from the well-known leaker Victor_Z, already known for releasing accurate information about future release titles in the past.

The user in question posted a tweet containing the emoticon of a hammer, which could represent Sledgehammer Games,and an art work of Call of Duty: WWII,a game released in 2017 and developed by this software house. It would then seem to suggest the arrival of a CoD set during World War II, again developed by Sledgehammer.

Activision has not yet made any statement on the matter; as always, being a rumor the news must be taken with pliers.
