Alert: Cyberpunk 2077 has major issues on old-gen consoles
The first players who are playing the title on the weakest old-gen consoles report a large amount of problems, from grainy textures that improve only after many seconds, to the IA of enemies and characters that activates late to frequent pop-up effects of objects, without considering very low frame-rates (between 15 and 20 fps). All this with the Day 1 patch, which has already come out.
The situation improves on the most powerful old-gen consoles ( Xbox One X ), where higher resolutions and better frame-rates make the experience more enjoyable. However, the bottleneck seems to remain the loads from the mechanical discs, and that is why, instead, on Xbox Series X improves considerably thanks to the SSD, although the frame rate continues to remain quite unstable especially in the densest and most crowded areas. But a patch is coming for next-gen console owners in 2021 that promises to make the most of the hardware, so improvements are likely to come here.
We look forward to comments from CD Projekt RED to see if and when these issues will be resolved.
Imagine defending this. Cyberpunk 2077 is a terrible game. Base PS4 footage. pic.twitter.com/uHTmMACi3R
