XIII is plagued by numerous problems and bugs: official statement by Microids and PlayMagic
Here's it below:
Greetings
Xiii's highly anticipatedremake - expected by many fans - came out earlier this week. Unfortunately, the expectations of the players have not been met by the launch version and we feel strong and clear their legitimate criticisms and disappointment.
First of all we would like to offer our sincerest apologies for the technical problems of the game. At present, XIII does not meet our quality standards and we fully understand the frustrations of the players. The pandemic has had an impact on the production of the game on many levels. Moving to work from home for teams added unexpected delays in the development program and quality control process. We were hoping to provide a patch to Day One that would solve all the issues, but developing this update takes longer than expected.
We want to assure you that PlayMagic is working hard to solve all the problems in the game. With constant monitoring of reported issues and several patches expected in the coming days and weeks, we hope to reach the level of quality everyone expects for an optimal gaming experience. The first update will be released shortly to resolve the most pressing issues related to controls, frame-rates, collisions, rendering, and sound. For information on upcoming patches, follow this link: https://www.microids.com/xiii-patch-notes/
In addition, we wanted to thank the community for all the feedback. We are carefully reviewing every single comment, passing bugs and issues on to the development team. Do not hesitate to send us comments and questions to: support@microids.com
Finally, be aware that we are working on a detailed road map that will highlight upcoming free additions to the game's content such as new levels, weapons, skins, and modes for local multiplayer.
We aim to satisfy all XIIIfans, and we will work tirelessly to achieve our goal.
