Major Nelson, the historic voice representative of Xbox, revealed today on Twitter a hitherto unknown detail of Xbox Series X and S: the two consoles have, as well as the current Xbox One family, an IR receiver to be so commanded via an official remote control or a universal one. Until now it was thought that this feature was absent, since there was no trace of the receiver on the two consoles, but today we find that it was only very well hidden.

Major Nelson has revealed that the receiver is placed on the connection/sync button to the controller: an extremely elengante and intelligent solution so as not to compromise the design of the two consoles. Congratulations to Microsoft engineers for the creative stunt!
